The elders of Judson Baptist Church are responsible for the overall spiritual care and oversight of the JBC family. They are selected (or affirmed) and voted on by the congregation annually.


 

Mark Daniels

 

Mark, currently serving as Chairman of the Elders, joined Judson in 1994 and chose the church for its strong commitment to practical biblical instruction, its family focused ministries, and its desire to reach a diverse community. Mark serves as Usher Chairman, small group leader, and children's church teacher. He is also involved in tutoring programs and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in the public schools of Oak Park. Mark works for FedEx Ground as a sortation technician. Mark has a 20 year old daughter and he and his wife of 18 years, Wendynal, have three children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trevor Good

 

Trevor is originally from Sarasota, Florida, but has now officially spent half of his life in Chicago!  His wife, Alison, and three children live in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. Trevor has been at Judson since 1990 when he first visited as a college student from the Moody Bible Institute. In 1993 he started working at JBC as a youth minister and served until 2002 under many other titles. Currently, Trevor is serving as Judson's Youth and Children Pastor. He has served as an elder since 2003.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Roy Horras

 

Roy is a physician who is actively involved in the Oak Park and Austin neighborhoods. Roy and his wife Toni have raised their family through Judson’s ministries and have long term ties in Oak Park.  In the past, Roy has served as Chairman of the Elders while Toni is Deaconess of Hospitality. Roy appreciates focusing on the practical relevance of biblical teaching.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Louis Stevison

 

Louis, affectionately known as "Elder", became a member of Judson Baptist Church in 1989.  After hauling freight for more than 30 years, Lou retired from driving an 18-wheeler to take time to enjoy more of life and better serve the Body.  He has been an Elder at Judson for 10 years and enjoys facilitating the Men's Prayer Ministry which meets at 6:00am every Wednesday morning, rain or shine.  His wife, aka Mama Carol, currently serves Judson as Deaconess of Women's Ministry and church historian.  Lou and Carol have been married for 35 years and have 3 children.
