A native of San Antonio, Texas, Pastor Rodney Lara has served as Senior Pastor of Judson since 2007. He attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and ultimately accepted the call to pursue a preaching ministry in 1995, where he graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary.


Pastor Lara has served at Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, and immediately prior to joining JBC, ministered at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, Texas.


Having prayed that God would bring them to a culturally diverse church body, Pastor Lara, his wife Billie and their three lovely daughters are excited to be a part of JBC where folks are living out Jesus’ words found in John 13:34-35.

 

 

Tom McElroy

Pastor Tom McElroy has been on staff since 2004. At the age of 17 Jesus changed Tom’s life forever when a friend explained to him that the death of Jesus on the cross completely paid the penalty for his sins and purchased eternal life for him. God continues to fill Tom’s heart and life with love, joy, peace and purpose!

 

Tom ministered as a church planter in Spain and earned a Master of Arts degree from the School of World Missions and Evangelism at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Tom and his wife Mary Ellen are the parents of two wonderful sons.

 

 

 

 

Steffon Staley

Steffon Staley was raised in Wichita, KS and has been on staff at Judson since May of 2005. Steffon has spent the past seven years working with youth. Prior to coming to Chicago, Steffon worked at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of America as Teen Center Director and was a volunteer leader with the youth at the church he attended.

 

He received his B.A. from Manhattan Christian College in Pastoral Studies and married wife, Tiffany shortly thereafter. Steffon has a passion for ministry, and presently believes God has called him to challenge, encourage, and minister to young people in the faith. 

 

 

 

 

 

Lee Willis

A native of Cincinnati, OH, Lee Willis has been a member of Judson since 2002, and joined the staff in 2008.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master of Arts in education administration from The Ohio State University.  


She joined the JBC staff after a career in higher education, specifically in admissions and academic supportive services.
