Pastor Neely is grateful for what Christ is doing in and through Judson Baptist Church. Pastor Neely has served as a missionary in Senegal, West Africa, and as a pastor and church planter of a number of Chicagoland churches. Pastor Neely holds a B.A. from Trinity College, M.A. from Wheaton College Graduate School, D.Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and is currently working on a Ph.D. in Old Testament.
Pastor Neely is a professor of hermeneutics, preaching, and pastoral studies at Moody Bible Institute and authored the book, How to Overcome Worry: Experiencing the Peace of God in Every Situation. Pastor Neely speaks, preaches, conducts workshops and training events at universities, churches, and conferences both in the United States and around the world.
He and his wife Stephne have been happily married for over 40 years are the proud parents of four children and grandparents of nine grandchildren.
Pastor David has a heart for the local church, the gospel, and the preaching of God's Word. The Lord fanned these passions to flame during David's time training for pastoral ministry at Moody Bible Institute (B.A.), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and The University of Edinburgh (M.Th.). David is grateful to God for the ways in which his professors, friends, classes, and ministry experiences throughout the United States and around the world equipped him for ministry. David oversees various ministries at Judson Baptist Church, preaches, and assists Pastor Neely and the elders in pastoral care, administration, and leadership.
David started praying for his wife 5 years before he met Sally and thanks God for the gift of a wonderful wife and best friend in Sally. David and Sally live in Logan Square and enjoy a good laugh, a good movie, and a good conversation.
Dwyn is thankful and honored to serve Christ as the office administrator of Judson Baptist Church, a church she has considered home since 2003. She oversees various administrative tasks, assists the pastoral staff, and provides a prayerful, listening ear to those who call the church office.
Having studied International Ministries at Moody Bible Institute, served on Summer Missions Trips, previously worked in JBC’s office for 6 years, grown up as the daughter of a minister of music along with a number of life experiences have equipped Dwyn for her role at JBC.
Dwyn met her soulmate, W. Maurice Killingsworth, Jr. at Judson Baptist Church and has been happily married to Maurice since 2007. Maurice and Dwyn have one delightful daughter together, Naomi who is a little sister to her brother (Reese) and sister (Robyn). Dwyn wears many hats as an office administrator, wife, mother, and Naomi’s homeschool teacher. Her heart is to partner with JBC as we seek to advance the Kingdom of God.
Ivellise Miller serves as the Director of Music Ministry. She considers it a joy and privileged to serve on our Worship team! Ivy graduated with a Bachelor's degree at Moody Bible Institute where she met her wonderful husband Corey Miller. Corey and Ivy have four beautiful daughters that they adore.
Tammy's heart is for kids. She oversees the nursery, kids programs, and the care of kids from our newborns to fifth graders. Her time at Judson Baptist Church is filled with overseeing Sunday School, Children's Church, Sunday Night Alive, and special events. Her passion for sharing Jesus' love and discipling children began while she studied at Wheaton College earning her B.A. in Christian Education. Tammy was both challenged and blessed by putting her education into practice while serving with Inner City Impact in Chicago for ten years. John and Tammy married in 1993 and rejoice daily in the blessing of marriage and in the gift of their four children.
As the Youth Director, Johnathon oversees JBC's youth Sunday school classes, programs, discipleship, and various events. With a deep commitment to making disciples as Jesus discipled, Johnathon seeks to connect youth to Christ. With a collaborative approach, Johnathon is also a part of a cohort of area youth pastors who seek to reach the youth of Oak Park and the surrounding areas with the gospel.
Johnathon graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in youth ministry. He served in a variety of ministries during his time at Moody and was particularly used by God through a basketball ministry in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago.
Johnathon and his wife, Hannah, married in 2018 and live in Oak Park. They enjoy the city, trying new food, or playing a round of disc golf.
